He is actually gaining mexico's respect : for beating the "Mexican Assassin"
Mexico never forgave ODLH for beating their Boxing Hero Julio Cesar Chavez. It will be redemption for him if he beats PAC

Oscar can regain
the Mexican pride which the Pinoy Mexecutioner dismantled one by one in
different weight class over the years. the Mexican dominance in the
lower weight class which is legendary was diminished by the Pinoy
Mexecutioner and DelaHoya is the last Mexican (American) standing and
will have a chance to redeem their lost glory (or maybe not).
